Our story

Making a fresh start in the New Forest

We made the decision to leave London and move to the New Forest for family reasons. It was hard moving away from somewhere we called home for many years but it turned out to be the best decision we could have made.

Sway is a beautiful, friendly village and is the ideal base from which to explore the New Forest and coastline. Every day we can walk from Wildwood and be in the forest within 10 minutes. And so many varied locations, including the coast, are within a short drive away. Every season is so different in the forest, it’s hard to choose a favourite.

At Wildwood B&B we aim to offer you a comfortable, welcoming place to stay with home cooked breakfast made from locally sourced produce. We opened in June 2018 and, as a new business, we welcome your feedback and are constantly looking for ways of improving the service we offer you.

We hope you enjoy your stay with us and hope you leave wanting to return.

Tania Joyce
B&B Owner
As well as managing the day-to-day running of the B&B, Tania is a freelance designer and has run her own design business for many years. She is currently developing a new business called Wildwood Design which is launching very soon. She has a passion for gardening, mid century furniture, art, walking with Milo in the forest, photography and feeding wild birds.

Steve Gillson

B&B Owner
As a born and bred Londoner, Steve has embraced country living in the New Forest very well. He is an avid music fan and collects vinyl. He is responsible for the record player on the sideboard in our dining room and playing records for our guests during breakfast. Steve enjoys getting out and about in the forest when he isn't commuting to London.
