Terms of booking

By placing a booking with us at Wildwood B&B you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions set out below. During your stay you agree to abide by these conditions and if you have any questions about booking with us, please do contact us before making a booking.

Booking Process

To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website.

Please ensure you have read our Terms & Conditions before placing your booking, in particular our Cancellation policy below.

Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages.

Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.

All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance or nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners.

Cancellation and Insurance

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract. We offer a free cancellation period up until 7 days before arrival, after which your booking is non-refundable.

If you would like to cancel your booking, please kindly give us as much notice as possible.

For cancellations made up to 7 days before your arrival date you will not be liable for the total balance.

For cancellations made 7 days or less before the arrival date, you will be liable for the total amount of the booking.

For this reason, you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.

Payment for your booking

To secure any booking, card details are taken at the time of booking and the full cost of the booking is taken by us 7 days before arrival.

Once payment has been made, we will send you a confirmation email and receipt and after this time the booking is non-refundable.

Payments can be made:

  • Online on our website
  • Over the phone using debit or credit card
  • Via bank transfer – we can supply bank details on request
  • Cheque – payments must be ‘cleared funds’ 7 days before arrival
  • We can email you a link to make a secure debit or credit card payment

Check-in & Check-out

Guests must check-in and check-out by the times stated below:

  • Check-in: from 3pm and before 7pm on day of arrival
  • Check-out by: 10:30am on day of departure

We request that guests kindly let us know in advance the time they would like to check in and to keep us updated if this time changes on the day of arrival.

An early check in can sometimes be arranged subject to availability.

Children

We welcome children over the age of 10 years old. We only have 2 guest rooms and do not want to risk other guests being disturbed by babies or young children during their stay. The only exception to this is if you would like to book both of our two rooms at the same time for your family and/or friends – please call us to discuss before you book.

We can set up one extra single bed for an older child or young adult (age 10 or older) in our Silver Birch room only – please call us to discuss this before you book. The additional cost for an extra single bed plus breakfast for a young person is £25 per night.

If a child is sharing a double room with one adult and doesn’t require an extra bed, the usual room rate for 2 adults applies.

Pets

We do not accept pets throughout the accommodation as we already have our family dog, Milo.

Non-availability

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Parking

On-site parking for guests is available at Wildwood B&B providing guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.

Bike storage

Secure bike storage in our garage is available on request.

Damages

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings.

Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

Lost keys will incur a replacement charge of £10 per key lost.

Lost Property

Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay at Wildwood B&B will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners, we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out.

We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.

WiFi  – fair & appropriate usage

Free WiFi is provided at Wildwood B&B and guests should accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately.

The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads.
